What do Librarians do all day?

After reading "The Collaboration Handbook" by Toni Buzzeo, I was inspired to write down (off the top of my head) what my Kindergarten to Grade 12 Librarian job actually encompasses. Amazing...and I am sure I even missed a few things!

Then I laid out both my Libraries on David V. Loertscher's LMC Taxonomy. Sadly, we seem to be on the bottom rungs, but this is a great tool to see my way forward!

  1. Jennie, I love it that you are making significant self-evaluative use of THE COLLABORATION HANDBOOK!

I'm just home from working with librarians and their collaborative teaching partners in Rochester, New York and I am reminded once again about how POWERFUL collaborative work can be. But before we jump in to full collaboration with both feet (or even data-driven collaboration), I find it so important to do the assessment of our current practice that you are doing using the organizers in my book.

I'm sending greetings to you and all of your colleagues in Budapest.

    Toni

  5. Have a look at some t-l tools to gather evidence for what you do in the OSLA (Ontario School Librarian Association) Toolkit.

There are other resources if you proceed through the website from the beginning http://www.accessola.com/osla/toolkit/home.html
